Safety Programs

Adopt an officer: Each residence hall is assigned an officer from the office of Safety and Security. The residents within that residence hall adopt this Officer. The officer will develop a close working relationship with the entire residence hall staff and a special relationship with the residents. Officers will provided programs once a semester based on the needs of the Hall.

Escort Service: Safety and Security officers will provide an escort to anyone requesting the service. Safety and Security may be contacted by dialing 911-1 twenty-four hours a day.

Identification Engraving:Safety and Security will provide you with the use of an engraver free of charge. Engraving owner-recognized numbers on computers, bicycles, and other valuable items.

Rape awareness - Education and Prevention: The office of Safety and Security in conjunction with local law enforcement and other agencies will provide programs on rape awareness, education, and prevention in residence halls.

Drug and Alcohol Awareness:The Office of Safety and Security in conjunction with law enforcement agencies, such as the Drug Task Force will provide awareness programs.

Fire Safety Awareness:The office of Safety and Security will provide fire safety programs. Fire Drills are conducted k=joint with the Resident Hall Staff on a monthly bases.
